COMMERCIAL

Manly

Overview:

  • Client: Tier 2 Commercial
  • Location: Manly, NSW
  • Project Date: Early-2026
  • Duration: 1 week

Scope and Process:

Pre-Construction Planning:

Before mobilising on site, the full set of engineering drawings was reviewed and validated to eliminate ambiguities and minimise downstream risk. The site supervisor structured the crew and clarified individual responsibilities upfront, creating clear accountability and an efficient working rhythm from day one.

Execution:

Works commenced with a strong emphasis on build accuracy and programme certainty. In the first 48 hours, the team installed and locked in the bottom steel beams, forming the primary load-bearing framework for the slab and supporting structure. Once the base framework was secured, the top steel beams were set out, aligned, and fixed precisely in line with engineering tolerances.

Quality Control & Coordination

Following installation, the structure underwent a detailed inspection and was signed off without delay, allowing subsequent trades to proceed without interruption. Close coordination with concreters and site management was maintained throughout the week to ensure smooth handovers between stages, while consistently delivering high-quality workmanship within the limitations of a confined urban site.

Outcome

The slab works were delivered within a one-week timeframe and passed all engineering and council inspections on the first submission, with no defects or rework required. Strong site leadership, disciplined sequencing, and technical precision underpinned a trouble-free delivery. The finished slab was clean, accurate, and structurally robust, earning positive client feedback and keeping the broader construction programme firmly on schedule.
